Known for their infectious energy and unparalleled musicianship, Rock Lobster will transport you back to the 80s with a fan-favorite selection of retro music.

Rock and roll at the Railroad Park is back on track! Enjoy free concerts every Sunday evening with a variety of local bands. Recently recognized as one of the best live music venues in Arizona by Best of American Towns, Sundays at The Railroad Park are the place to be in Scottsdale this May. With Motown, Disco, Rhythm and Blues and Retro 90’s, we’ve got a little something for everyone.

Bring a blanket or chair and relax in the park. Pack an picnic or enjoy something tasteful from Hartley’s General Store or one of the food trucks that will be onsite.

The park’s iconic steam engines pull the Paradise & Pacific Railroad. Train and Carousel rides are $3. Children two and under ride free with a paying adult.

Tents by the Tracks 2024

April 6
3 p.m. – 10 a.m.

Pitch your tents by the tracks and experience a night of fun and adventure while camping at the McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park. All you’ll need are your tents and sleeping bags to enjoy an evening of family fun underneath the stars. We will have a variety of activities suitable for all ages, including a full catered dinner, a movie, breakfast and of course, train and carousel rides. Hartley’s General Store will be open for ice cream and other treats.

At the Exclusively Little Expo, families can explore a diverse range of information and offerings, including:

Education Options: Explore various school programs and educational institutions in the area.
Youth Sports & Recreation: Find information about sports programs and recreational activities for your children.

Train Ride Information:

Halloween Spook-Track-Ula 2024

October 11 – 31

6 – 9:30 p.m.

Stop in for a spell as the Paradise & Pacific Railroad is transformed into a haunted park of fun for our Halloween Spook-Track-ula. The family-friendly event is perfect for kids of all ages. We’ll creep it real with the event’s feature, a spooky train ride created with younger children in mind… a bit spooky, but not too frightening.

The event will feature limited capacity one and a half hour time blocks at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. nightly.

The park will only be accessible to those who have purchased tickets during a specific time block.

Ticket Information 

  • Tickets are $15 per person
  • $10 tickets are available for select weeknights during 8 p.m. time slot
  • Free admission for children two years old and younger
  • The ticket fee reserves a one and a half hour block of time from 6 – 7:30 p.m. or 8 – 9:30 p.m.
  • Includes train and carousel rides
  • Food and drinks available for purchase in Hartley’s General Store
  • Model Railroad Building will be open for viewing our tiniest trains

Railfair 2024

Get Ready for Railfair 2024 – An Epic Celebration of Railroading!

All aboard for the ultimate fall season kickoff event! The McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park is thrilled to present Railfair 2024, a grand celebration of everything railroading. Prepare for an unforgettable experience!

What’s In Store for Railfair:

Model Railroad Clubs: Explore captivating indoor and outdoor model train layouts, brought to you by railroading clubs from across the Valley. These layouts will be shaded by tents and located in the plaza area near the Merci Train Car and the Model Railroad Building.

Scottsdale Live Steamers: After a summer hiatus, the Scottsdale Live Steamers are back! Enjoy delightful rides on the Arboretum Railroad, with their loading station conveniently located behind the Model Railroad Building. Donations are gladly accepted.

Scottsdale Railroad Museum: The Scottsdale Railroad Museum reopens its doors for the season during Railfair weekend. Delve into a fascinating collection of historical railroading artifacts, including a special display featuring items from the historical 40 & 8 Merci Train Car. Don’t miss guided tours inside the Presidential Roald Amundsen Pullman Car.

Paradise and Pacific Railroad: Our park’s iconic steam engines will be in full throttle, running all day on the main track around the park. Keep an eye out for the chance to hop on a rare “double header” experience, as engines #10 and #11 join forces for an unforgettable ride around the park!

Slide the Rails

August 3, 2024

9 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Join us on Saturday August 3, at the park’s wet and wild summer event, Slide the Rails. This will be the perfect way to end the summer and slide into the new school year.  There will be a variety of inflatable water slides and obstacle courses suitable for all ages. Make sure you visit the fun foam pit too! Cold drinks and tasty treats will be available for purchase. The event will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

A $10 Slide the Rails wristband will include unlimited access to the water attractions as well as unlimited train and carousel rides. Wristbands are required for everyone ages three and older and kids two and younger are free with a paying adult.

Wristbands go on sale Monday, July 29! Stop by the ticket office between 8 a.m. – 1 p.m. to avoid lines on the day the event. Wristbands will be sold onsite on the day of the event as well.

Don’t forget your towel and sunscreen as you prepare for the ultimate splash!

Holiday Lights 2024

 November 29 – December 30

 6 – 9:30 p.m. 

 

Join us, as we transform into a mesmerizing winter wonderland illuminated with holiday lights and enchanting displays. Step aboard the Paradise & Pacific Railroad and embark on a journey through this captivating seasonal spectacle. Don’t miss your chance to create cherished memories with loved ones.

To ensure a delightful experience for all, the event will have limited capacity and staggered entrance times. Choose from the following entry times:

8 p.m.

Please note that access to the park will be exclusively for ticket holders during their designated time slot.
