Holiday Lights

 November 27, 2020 – January 3, 2021

 6 – 9:30 p.m.

While things may look a little different this year, the Railroad Park is excited to continue the annual tradition of Holiday Lights. Hop on board the Paradise & Pacific Railroad and experience a winter wonderland of holiday lights and displays. No trip to the park is complete without a spin on the historic Charros Carousel or a cup of hot cocoa from Hartley’s General Store.

Due to COVID-19 and public health recommendations, we have had to significantly modify the structure of this year’s event. There are several big changes to this year’s event that will provide a safe and socially distanced environment. Your trip to Holiday Lights may look different than it has in previous years, but we intend to create a safe and memorable experience for you and your family. We ask that all guests understand and adhere to all public health protocols.

  • The event will feature limited capacity one hour blocks at 6 p.m., 7:15 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. nightly
  • Rides will be loaded at 50% capacity

The park will only be accessible to those who have purchased tickets during a specific one hour block. Visitors will have an opportunity to ride the train and carousel as many times as they’d like during their one hour time slot. Announcements will be made when the hour is up and it is time to leave the event area. To ensure the safety of our guests and staff, we will require visitors to wear face coverings whenever social distancing cannot be maintained.

Santa will be taking the year off due to pandemic protocol at the North Pole. And while there may be a thing or two you miss this year, long lines won’t be one of them. With limited ticket sales nightly, the lines will be much shorter and will allow for multiple train or carousel rides.

Opening Night festivities on Nov. 27 will feature an annual tree lighting ceremony with Scottsdale Mayor Jim Lane.
